Start small
Small sketches can be in acrylic, or even felt marker pens and can be a very affordable way of buying an artist's work without paying the prices of a finished painting. Ted often produces small sketches before moving on to developing his initial ideas. Some people even prefer to have these instead of larger paintings. Each sketch comes either mounted and framed (we upcycle frames to keep costs low) or in a card window mount. If you are interested in purchasing any of the sketches, please contact us.
First is 11 x 9 inches, image size 5.5 x 3.75. Acrylic and marker pen on paper. Second, 7.75 x 7.75 inches, image 5 x 5. Marker pen on paper.
A rather large small one. Frame is 18 x 20 inches, image size is 8.5 x 10. Acrylic on paper.

The first two sketches are based on Boulmer and the strange masts that are close to the shoreline, watercolour on paper. The third is based on a view from the bank of the lake in Newmiller Country park, just across the road from our cottage, acrylic on paper.
